Remember our post on “Give a Damn” from last month? Life is a constant give and take – it’s yin and yang, give and take, ones and zeros. Every coin has two sides. And so does caring.
You might care and give a damn – doesn’t mean that the other person does. As a matter of fact, no one really cares. There is just too much happening, too many things to pay attention to, too many demands on our system. We can’t care or we would simply go insane.
So – what do you do as someone who cares about the things you have to give to the world, when the world doesn’t care about those things?
Simple.
You have to give them reasons to care.
Earn five seconds of your audiences attention. Then, earn the next five. And the next. Repeat, repeat, and repeat.
Attention is precious. Use it carefully and give them a reason to care. All you need is five seconds.
