One of the most common misjudgments I see entrepreneurs do, is to believe that progress is made in swift, strong and big leaps.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
As Doug Firebaugh once said: “Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.”
Progress and thus success are the culmination of an endless amount of small steps. It requires you to put in the work, day after day. It tests your inner strength, your will and your ability to persevere. And it’s the only way you can build something of value.
And as success comes inch by inch, we have to learn to celebrate along the way. Too many of us are holding out for that big moment of crossing the finish line. We don’t give ourselves enough credit for the journey, the trials and tribulations we endured and the little wins we fought so hard for.
What was your last little win? And how will you celebrate it?
