The culture in your startup is truly all-encompassing. From the way you work, to the way you interact with your customers to your brand, marketing… Heck — it even affects your coding style (“Two space indents? Or four space tabs only?”) and certainly influences your people’s energy and feelings.
The tricky thing with culture is that you never not have it. Regardless if you carefully crafted your corporate culture or if it just happened — it is always there.
And with culture being so far reaching — culture becomes strategy.
Thus I strongly advise founders to spend time thinking about the culture they want to create. And as they grow — figure out how that culture needs to evolve.
