Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs. I strongly believe that it takes entrepreneurs (and people who think and act like entrepreneurs) to tackle and ultimately solve some of the most intractable problems on this planet. We have spent time and energy to build strong support structures for entrepreneurs all around the world. But these usually require that you already made up your mind and chose to become an entrepreneur. What’s missing is that initial step — the inspiration and guidance to leap into entrepreneurship. Too many of our brightest students all around the world choose instead the perceived “safe” path of employment at Big Corp.
I am working on solving this. At least I want to try.
Here’s where I need your help (especially if you are a student or someone at the beginning of your career): When you put yourself into the shoes of someone who hasn’t been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug (or probably just look at your friends who haven’t seen the light yet) — What do you think you need to be inspired to become an entrepreneur? Which resources are missing? What’s the message you need or want to hear? What do we need to build to inspire millions of students all around the world to become entrepreneurs?
Send me an email or jump into the Facebook group — I would love to hear your opinion!
